BIOGRAPHY OF RAY FAWLEY

Ray Fawley, Author and writer of psychological thrillers including The Pigeon's Secrets and The Falling Body

Ray Fawley was born in Baltimore Maryland, where he spent the majority of his childhood and young adult life. One winter while in junior high school, his mother and stepfather relocated to Gettysburg Pennsylvania, where a farmhouse, buried under two feet of snow upon arrival, became his welcome into culture shock, and incidentally, his introduction to adaptability.

Ray says, “I couldn’t stand the silence when I lived there. I just wanted to hear the sound of traffic going by.”

Two and a half years later, he returned to the hustle and bustle of Baltimore City to live with his father and stepmother, and to finish school there.

At the age of 29, the desire for a drastic change, coupled with an invitation from a relative, led him to Bristol Tennessee. Several years later, his pursuit for the perfect medium between seclusion and chaos, led him to the city of Asheville North Carolina – where, he says he has no plans to leave any time soon.

Creative outlets have always played an important role in Ray’s life. So when job related travels found him sitting in hotel rooms at the end of the day, hundreds of miles from home, with little more to do than channel surfing, the many different worlds found in books became his escape back into Sanity. Soon afterwards, the realm of Writing opened its doors and yanked him in. Now, a story is always brewing. Painting, sculpting, and collecting Pez candy dispensers are a few other avenues of his expression.
